Summary
Summary
With a robust focus on understanding the hazards and risks associated with working on or near battery systems, our BIMC encourages a ‘safety-first’ approach. We equip your team with knowledge, skills, and behaviours to stay safe during battery-related operations, cultivating a safety-conscious mindset that permeates every aspect of their work.
Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements
This course is not intended for beginners. We assume that participants already possess some degree of electrical competence. Ideally, candidates should have at least 6 months of experience working with stationary batteries. However, for those who need additional foundational knowledge, a pre-course study pack is available to help them get up to speed.
This course primarily caters to UPS Service and Installation Engineers, UPS Commissioning Engineers, Battery Monitoring System Installers, Electrical Engineers, and Maintenance Technicians.
Why CS Learning?
Why CS Learning?
Our experienced instructors bring years of industry experience and knowledge to the table, ensuring that learners receive the best possible training experience.
We are committed to aligning our training programs with industry standards, regulations, and applicable laws, so that our customers can feel confident that they are receiving the most up-to-date and relevant training available.

Course Format
Course Format
We commence by providing candidates with the requisite theoretical background before moving on to hands-on training. This approach allows candidates to apply learned concepts to real-life scenarios, which they are likely to encounter whilst installing, maintaining, or replacing stationary batteries.
Throughout the course, learners will have the opportunity to work directly on battery training racks, simulating common situations in a controlled and safe environment. This enhances their understanding and prepares them for real-world application of their skills.
Course Objectives
Course Objectives
1. Know common stationary battery types and how they work
2. Learn to be safe when working on or near stationary batteries
3. To have an understanding of common battery configurations
4. Learn how to work in accordance with risk and method statements
5. Learn how to install and replace batteries in a rack or cabinet
6. Conduct safe isolation of a battery system with confidence
7. Understand factors that affect battery life and performance
8. Test and maintain stationary batteries to assess their health
