Summary
Summary
This 2-day, in-centre course covers the knowledge, understanding and some of the skills associated with the design, specification, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical energy storage systems (EESS). It follows the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and industry guidance, together with the requirements of BS 7671.
It is aimed at competent electricians who wish to demonstrate they have the necessary understanding and skills associated with an EESS associated typically with a dwelling.
It has a range of relevant outcomes covering statutory legislation applicable to EESS, the principles of batteries and EESS, how to specify and design an EESS, installation, inspection and testing, and handover of an EESS. It is recognised by MCS. MCS create and maintain standards that allows for the certification of products, installers and their installations.
